Summer Concert Series in North Myrtle Beach

North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is known for showcasing many types of music, although it is most well-known as the home of beach music and the birthplace of the shag, which is South Carolina’s official state dance.  North Myrtle Beach is also well known for its live music.

As visitors en route to vacation weeks in North Myrtle Beach Condos and beach houses enter North Myrtle Beach, you will pass the House of Blues and Alabama Theatre which both feature live music showcasing well-known artists.  The beach clubs on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach also host some of the most famous live beach music artists.

As a special treat for locals living in Myrtle Beach real estate and visitors renting North Myrtle Beach real estate, North Myrtle Beach Parks and Recreation has been offering a free summer concert series, The Sounds of Summer.  You can enjoy an evening of dancing under the stars with your family and friends, listening to live music from 7:00 – 9:00 P. M. at the NMB Park & Sports Complex at the Sandhills Bank Amphitheater in the McLeod Seacoast Meadow (150 Citizens Circle, Little River, SC 29566).  The admission is free and open to all ages.  Don’t forget to bring a blanket or chair.  The remainder of the 2017 Sounds of Summer Schedule is below:

Friday, August 18 –  Steve Riley Quartet (Jazz)

Friday, September 15 –  Snake Malone & Black Cat Bone (Blues)

There will also be a free Summer Concert Series in downtown North Myrtle Beach on Main Street, Music on Main, every Thursday night from 7:00 – 9:00 P. M.  It will alternate between two locations—Main Street: 202 Main Street, North Myrtle Beach and the Horseshoe:  11 S. Ocean Blvd., North Myrtle Beach.  Families living in North Myrtle Beach houses and condos are encouraged to come down after work and bring the whole family as well as visitors renting Myrtle Beach condos and beach houses.

Bring a beach chair or a blanket, kick back and relax while listening to the sounds of some of the most well-known live bands.  You can also shop and dine in the local restaurants and unique shops.  The remainder of the Music on Main Concert series and locations is listed below:
