Pacino’s Mediterranean Grille

Looking for a quaint, romantic Mediterranean restaurant with delicious food, great service, a large wine selection, and a warm, personable staff, then Pacino’s Mediterranean Grille is the place for you.  Located at 3103 Business Hwy 17 South, Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, it has become a favorite for both locals and visitors to the Grand Strand.

Pacino’s cuisine is prepared to order using fresh local ingredients—featuring dishes from “Italy all the way to Lebanon with stops in between—including regional wine favorites.  It is equal parts dishes from across the region melded with warm, attentive service.” per Pacino’s Facebook page.  According to Sandy A, it is a hidden treasure:

“We discovered this hidden treasure just a few weeks ago. We have eaten here three times already and it is amazing. Food, service, ambiance and presentation are all 5 stars! The wine list is extensive, and the entrees have all been superb! The owner makes you feel as if you are a guest in her home. The waitress Keri was one of the nicest and most efficient waitress that we have ever had. Her bubbly personality was the icing on the cake for our dining experience! We now have our favorite restaurant to return to when we weekend at the beach! And the desserts are delicious too!”

Rania, the owner, checks on the guests personally to be sure everything is made to their satisfaction.  She and her staff make you feel welcome, going the extra mile to be sure that you have great service.  Based on the reviews below, they are very successful at making you feel at home while serving you delicious food at affordable prices.

Kenneth M—“There are many good restaurants in the general Myrtle Beach area, but Pacino’s is the only one that is “special” for us. The owner (Rania) is just so welcoming and delightful. She remembers every bottle of wine I’ve ordered over the past 5 years when I can’t. She and her wait staff make you feel that you are visiting their home and welcome you as true guests. Now to the food, I have eaten in many restaurants over my lifetime, but I have to say this is my go to place for the best meal and dining experience. Their veal is to die for, the shrimp trattoria is out of this world, the hot bread and dipping sauce is just what you need to start the dining experience. Pacino’s wine cellar list is very expansive and is priced so that you can afford to enjoy and entire dining experience. Each time we go there, we ask each other afterwards…how soon do you think we should come back.”

Lynn D—” This is always one of my favorite places to eat. The owner and her entire staff do it right. From the moment you walk in you feel like you have been there 100 times . We went there Saturday night and had no reservation…. we were offered a table in the kitchen. We could have waited but chose to take this. It was perfect, another guest sat in there as well. We watched the staff prepare the dinners and it felt like home. Now for the food, Veal piccata. A cannoli. some nice house chardonnay and a cappuccino. All were flawless and served with a smile what more can you ask for.”

Pacino’s also has an early bird menu available until 6:00 p.m. for those of you who have a small appetite and prefer to dine early in the evening.  Although reservations are not required, the venue is small; therefore, it is better to make them to prevent a wait time.  According to the reviews below, the early bird menu is varied enough that you will have a good selection to choose from along with dessert.

SgtBruski—“Great food Great price!  We went for the early bird special. The selection was very good and the portions for the early bird were more than adequate plus it included a small canolli for dessert. Our group had stuffed shells, spaghetti and meatballs and lasagna. Everything was delicious. The house chianti was excellent, I would highly recommend it. It is a very small venue so I would recommend reservations.”

ChrisnSC—“Grouper Francese is divine!  This is a small venue so call ahead to be sure to get a table. Nice varied menu with Early Bird menu offered until 6pm. Daily specials also. Soup or salad is included with all entrees. Pasta Fagioli soup was flavorful and hot. The Grouper Francese was cooked perfectly and so delicious! The Veal Francese was also excellent. Capellini Pasta with marinara was also very good. Save room for the cannolis- so smooth & creamy in a fresh crispy shell. A perfect way to finish your meal. We will be back!”

Rania was born in Beirut, Lebanon and moved to the United States in 1984 when she was 19 years old.  She attended college at Penn State University in Pennsylvania and had a career in Information Technology in North Virginia until 12 years ago.  At that time, she decided to pursue her passion for feeding and entertaining people.  She moved to the Murrells Inlet, South Carolina area and opened Pacino’s Mediterranean Grille and has been enjoying herself ever since.

According to Rania, “I want people to feel like they are in my own home.  We have great food in a relaxing atmosphere.”  For 11.5 years, Rania has been welcoming people into her restaurant, feeding them delicious food and visiting with her guests to be sure everything is going well. She is always ready to make recommendations based on your needs when asked.  Suade A felt Rania did a wonderful job as stated below:

“Omg! I’m about to butcher some spelling: but I had the Baba ganouj, the m word that is caramelized onion and lentils, the stuffed grape leaves, and baklava. My mom had the lasagna and tiramisu. I can’t begin to describe how great of an experience we had, but i can imagine it would be like being in the home of a great chef complete with the personal attention from Rania, the owner. 🙂 she made specific recommendations for a limiting diet and was an absolute sweet heart. I can’t wait to go back and try everything else.”

“Pacino’s menu also includes traditional dishes as well as unique culinary creations that you won’t find anywhere else.” They are vegetarian friendly with vegan options as well as gluten-free options.  They also have live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights which adds to the ambiance.  According to Sgdamm below, Pacino’s is outstanding:

“Outstanding!! An extraordinary dining experience in a warm romantic setting. We had unquestionably one of the finest and most memorable meals ever. From a range of Mediterranean appetizers we chose grape leaves ( perfectly light and moist) and mjadara (lentils, rice, and caramelized onions topped with crispy sweet onions) — beyond delicious. Our entree of mussels in traditional French garlic-wine accompanied by a crisp baguette was perfection. The menu ranges the length of the Mediterranean from Italy to the Levant — caprice to Greek salads, pasta dishes to a variety of seafood. Deserts are elegant and killer good . The wine list is extensive and great. The prices are amazingly reasonable, ranging upwards from $12 spaghetti and meatballs to $22 for complex seafood dishes. ( There is a kid’s menu). I cannot rave enough about the restaurant and it’s hard working charming owner Rania.”

Based on all of the information above, we need to experience the joy of a Mediterranean meal at Pacino’s and meet the delightful owner, Rania.  The staff is friendly, professional and attentive, ensuring that you have a great dining experience from start to finish, and the food is delicious.  “Once you’ve tried Pacino’s, you’re sure to go back because it’s like going home again.”
