October brings Witches, Goblins and Zombies to the Grand Strand!!!

The normally tranquil Grand Strand turns into a place where the ghouls and goblins come out to celebrate Halloween or Hallowe’en (a contraction of All Hallows‘ Evening) which is dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs, and all the faithful departed during Myrtle Beach in October 2017. There are many fun, exciting and spooky adventures to participate in from North Myrtle Beach to Pawleys Island and we are going to tell you about some of the more popular events during Halloween 2017 in Myrtle Beach.
First, we will describe some of the family-friendly events that the whole family can enjoy. So, get the whole family dressed in their scariest Halloween costumes, including your fur babies (in some instances), and let’s go to some Spook-tacular events for Halloween Myrtle Beach!

Zombie Zone Presented by Nightmare Haunted House located at 10014 North Ocean Blvd, Myrtle Beach is considered the east coast’s scariest dark attraction for 20 years, but kids 12 and under are admitted, so it must be family friendly. This is open Thursday – Monday from 2:00 p.m. until late.
Hollywood Wax Museum’s Outbreak: Dread the Undead located at 1808 21st Ave. N., Myrtle Beach, SC opens at 9 a.m. You will try to make it through the zombie-infested lab on a clean-up and disposal detail. The adventure takes you through the labs, the morgue and the rotting basement in an attempt to rid the world of the catastrophic Alpha Strain. Will it turn you into a zombie????
Ripley’s Haunted Adventure with Haunted Laser Strike located at 913 N. Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach, SC is a real-life video game on two floors of terror. It is open daily from 2 – 9 p.m. and from 2 -1 0 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
October 25 – 31, 2017:
Terror Under the Bridge at the X Sports Mall in Myrtle Beach begins terrorizing at 7 p.m. and ends at 11 p.m. This is touted to be the real deal—a fun, thrilling, chilling, scary, yet breath-taking and adventurous outdoor attractions.
Every Friday and Saturday Night in October:
Fright Nights on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk—Dusk to Midnight– live Zombies will be roaming the boardwalk, as the sun goes down, looking for their next meal. If you are brave enough, you can take a selfie with them outside Nightmare Haunted House’s new Zombie Zone Undead Adventure! Do you dare?
October 27, 2017:
Third Annual Spooktacular Halloween Bash will be hosted by Thompson Farm, located at 1625 Bucksville Drive, Conway, South Carolina from 7 p.m. – 11 p.m. Dress up your little ghosts and goblins and play on their farm after dark. There will be flashlight fun in their 6-acre corn maze, a Kids Drive in Movie Night, Fun Around the Fire Pit, inflatables, and tons of candy.
October 27 – 28, 2017:
Atalaya Fall Festival and Haunted Castle at Huntington Beach State Park will take place from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. There will be plenty of fun for guests of all ages at the scary castle with two separate haunted attractions: Little Scare, a not-too-scary maze of creepy rooms for the younger children, and Big Scare, a Haunted Castle for the more mature guests. There will also be a balloon artist, carnival games, photo booth, arts and crafts, and more for you to enjoy.
Funny Fright Night Improve Show located in the Uptown Theatre at the Myrtle Beach Mall, 10177 N Kings Hwy., Myrtle Beach, SC from 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. Since this is an improv show, it is never the same, because suggestions are taken from the audience to create instant comedy right before your eyes, with scarily funny themes. It is appropriate for ages 13+.
October 28, 2017:
Surfside Halloween Car Show 2017 will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. If you want to participate, you can register at 9:00 a.m., and trophies will be awarded at 3:00 p.m. It will be a free car show featuring both classic and modern cars. There will be a DJ, food and “Truck or Treat” for the children.
The Ripley’s Boo-quarium Bash happens at Ripley’s Aquarium at Broadway on the Beach from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. providing tons of Halloween-themed family fun. Dress up in your costume and explore the aquarium, and take part in the costume parade and contest. This event is free with paid admission to the aquarium.
HOWL-O-SCREAM at the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex is open from 5 – 8 p.m. There will be hayrides, marshmallow roasting, trick-or-treating and much more. There will be scare free and scare zones to offer a variety of spookiness for all ages.
BooFest! At Barefoot Landing–whether you have human kids or furry kids, BooFest! is the place to be from 12 – 4 p.m. in North Myrtle Beach! Barefoot Landing will host a kids’ and pets costume contest. Prizes will be awarded for best costumes for kids and pets. They’ll also offer live performances and activities such as balloon art, face painting and kids karaoke for families.
Haunted House in the Farm at Carolina Forest located at 3356 Picket Fence Lane, Myrtle Beach, SC will open at dark—about 7 p.m. It will be an old-school haunted house with multiple interactive rooms and characters such as zombies, giant snakes, ghouls, clowns, possessed children, the ring, Annabelle and much more!
Sea Watch Resort’s Halloween Extravaganza is from 6 – 10 p.m. on the Sea Watch Resort pool deck (weather permitting). There will be live entertainment with a family-friendly DJ, interactive themed games, spooky prizes and drink specials for the parents.
Halloween Bash on The Avenue at Broadway at the Beach starts at 6 p.m. It is considered one of the largest Halloween parties on the beach, and DJ Rich will start the music at 7 p.m. There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes for the best Halloween costumes. Don’t miss Celebrity Square Halloween 2017!
Halloween Bash and Glow Party hosted by Captain’s Quarters Resort from 7 – 10 p.m. on the oceanfront pool deck for guests and locals alike is a glow-themed, family-friendly party. There will be a costume contest, a live DJ, dancing, prizes and giveaways. In case of inclement weather, the glow party will still take place inside at the Level 6 Bowling Alley.
October 31, 2017:
Trick- or-Treat and Haunted Carriage Rides at the Market Common—Trick-or-Treating will take place from 5 – 7 p.m. and the Haunted Carriage Rides from 5 – 8 p.m. There will be free carriage rides around the complex as well as music and entertainment in front of the movie theater. Kids can trick-or-treat at participating stores and your fur-babies are welcome too.
Trick-or-Treating at Barefoot Landing will be from 5 – 7 p.m. For a safe and fun Halloween, bring the kids to fill their pumpkins as they go from store to store.
Trick-or-Treating at Broadway at the Beach from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. Bring your little ghouls and goblins and favorite super heroes to your favorite spots for great treats. Broadway at the Beach 2017 is going to be really Howling!
Halloween on the Marsh Walk from 5 – 11 p.m. Ghosts, Zombies and characters of all ages are welcome at the festivities on the Marsh Walk. The costume contests begin at 6 p.m. and the adult costume contests begins at 7 p.m. Cash and prizes worth $3,500 will be awarded to the top costumes. Final judging and the award ceremony will take place at Bubba’s Love Shack at 10 p.m.

Dr. Screams at the House of Blues opens daily at 7 p.m. You will get three adventures for the price of one—Dr. Screams Fright Manor, Chuckles Twisted Circus and Zombie Apocalypse.
October 27, 2017:
Brews, Grooves, & Boos Halloween Bash will be hosted by the House of Blues from 4 p.m. until all the ghouls and goblins have departed. There will be a costume contest, live music and craft beer sampling.
October 28, 2017:
Date Night Trick or Treat at Wine & Design in the Market Common will be hosting a special date night at 6 p.m. Each partner will paint his or her skulls on half of a painting and they will be put together to make one. Bring your own wine and favorite snacks. No painting experience needed.
2001 Nightclub Spooktacular Halloween Bash from 8:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. held at 2001. The No Limit Band will be performing and there will be tons of fun for everyone.
