Happy New Year!  We are back to welcome in the year 2018 as well as Lea Webster to Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living.  We are excited as our team at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina continues to grow with the addition of Lea who is coming to us from another real estate company in the North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area.

Lea grew up in East Northport, Long Island, New York and attended Commack High school.  She played clarinet in the school band and piano at home.  Her mother was a dental hygienist and her father was a design engineer. After Lea graduated from high school, she attended Southampton College on Long Island as an art major but after a year transferred to International Fine Arts College in Miami and majored in Merchandising and Interior Design.

After graduating from college, Lea got a job in the Fashion Industry working at Saks Fifth Avenue in Miami and then Garden City, NY, for seven years.  That is where she met her British husband, Gordon, who just happened to work there too.  They fell in love and moved to Boston, MA, where they were married.  She and her husband later moved to New Jersey where Lea became a Certified Dental Assistant and a Financial Coordinator with a cosmetic dental office for the next 25 years.

Lea and her husband have been married for 42 years and have four children and six grandchildren.  Upon her husband’s retirement, they moved to North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to continue living by the ocean, since they lived only minutes from the Jersey Shore and loved it.  They have lived here now for 17 years, and Lea continued to work as a dental assistant in Little River, South Carolina. Last year Lea traded in her dental scrubs for a Real Estate License and has never looked back!

Lea has several hobbies that keep her busy when she is not working.  She loves reading  historical novels, playing the piano, and enjoys cooking for all friends, sometimes even getting them into the kitchen to help!  She is also very active in her church, Ocean Drive Presbyterian.  Add her three long-haired Chihuahuas to the mix, and she barely has time for herself and her husband.  It seems like she really likes working hard and staying busy.

Lea decided to make a career change and earned her Real Estate License in March of 2017.  She started working for an onsite company selling homes and did very well.  So, she decided to branch out on her own and became a beach real estate agent for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living in North Myrtle Beach.  Let’s find out how things are going with Lea’s new business.

Q:  Lea there are many real estate agencies located in North Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach, and along the Grand Strand, but you chose BHGRE.  Why?

A:  When I decided to build my own business, I was looking for a company with a really good reputation that had longevity and a growing business.  Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living met that criteria.  It also has a good training program with lots of great technology to assist the real estate agents.

Q:  Now that you are a North Myrtle Beach Real Estate Agent, what do you like best about the job?

A:  I am a people person…probably the Italian in me!  I really enjoying meeting new people and creating long-lasting relationships.  Not only does it give me great pleasure to find the perfect home for my clients, I also enjoy showing off all that our coastal area has to offer.

Q:  As a real estate agent at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living in the Myrtle Beach area, you will not have set office hours, so you have to be self motivated.  What motivates you?

A:  I like to stay involved and busy.  I am not a person that enjoys just staying at home.  I enjoy meeting new people and making new friends, and I also like to explore the area.  So, it seems that I am innately motivated to be successful in the beach real estate business.

Q:  When you list a house for a client in the Myrtle Beach area, what means of marketing will you use to reach other realtors and potential clients?

A:  I will list it on the MLS website which will reach both realtors and potential clients.  I will also use social media, flyers, make phone calls, send out emails and have open houses.

Q:  How will you create your client base as a Myrtle Beach Real Estate Agent?

A:  Since I have lived in the Myrtle Beach area for 17 years and worked at a dental office, I have a wide sphere of influence and know a lot of people.  I have also met many people through my church community.  In addition to my own relationships, I will reach out to potential clients via social media, email, telephone calls, and mail outs.

Q:  What do you think will be the most rewarding aspect of your job as a real estate agent for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living in Myrtle Beach?

A:  The most rewarding aspect of my job will be when my clients find their dream home and seeing how happy they are when they do. Everything just clicks! I also like making sure that my clients are satisfied and happy with their decision.  Happy clients mean future clients and referrals as well.
