Hello, we are back again to introduce you to our Broker-in-Charge, Ron Jackson. He got his Broker’s license in both states in 2009 and became Broker-in Charge at Better Home and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living in April 2016. Ron is not only Broker-in Charge; he is also very successful as a North Myrtle Beach real estate Agent. Ron has his real estate license in both North Carolina and South Carolina.
Ron was raised by his Baptist minister father and his mother who worked for Blue Cross/Blue Shield. The family, including his two sisters, moved often though the majority of his formative years were spent in Marion, Virginia. When Ron was a senior in high school, his family moved to Loris, South Carolina, which is located 30 miles from North Myrtle Beach real estate. He graduated from Loris High School.
Ron married a young woman from Loris and had a little girl. His daughter is currently a freshman at Loris High School. His wife is Executive Director/CEO of Sea Haven, a non-profit organization for at-risk youth, located in North Myrtle Beach, SC. Ron and his family enjoy camping together whenever they can all take a break. Ron’s other hobbies are boating, hunting and fishing which can be easily enjoyed when you purchase homes for sale in North Myrtle Beach.
Before beginning his career in Myrtle Beach real estate, Ron considered pre-med and went to school to become an EMT and also worked in dialysis for a while. However, he decided real estate was his calling after he got his Business Administration degree at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, SC, which is approximately 15 miles outside of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

We wanted to know what Ron felt the key to his success was. Let’s find out…
Q: There is a smorgasbord of Myrtle Beach real estate agents. Why do clients choose youas their North Myrtle Beach real estate agent?
A: I keep in touch with past and potential clients via emails, phone calls, magazines, and postcards. I also use phone-call prospecting as a source to reach new clients. When I list a property, I send out just-listed cards to my data base as well as just-sold cards with comps for potential sellers. I also use my 10 years’ experience and designations that I have to show that I am a professional in the field.
Q: Do you have a strategy that makes you one of the most successful beach real estate agents in the business?
A: Yes. “No” does not mean “no forever”. It may mean “not now” or that “the time might not be right”. You have to be persistent, set goals, and persevere until you achieve your goals.
Q: At the beach, we have houses for sale in North Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach oceanfront houses for sale, condos for sale in North Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach oceanfront condos for sale, and beach land for sale. Which do you prefer to sell?
A: Houses and Condos. The majority of my clients are purchasing a second home as rental property. It is a means for clients to be able to use it to vacation at the beach and also to generate income to offset expenses. The additional income helps pay for the Myrtle Beach property as well.
Q: What motivates you since you do not have set office hours at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living in North Myrtle Beach. You must be self-motivated.
A: My motivation is to achieve my life goals of providing for my family by helping my clients achieve their goals.
Q: What means of marketing do you find most valuable in reaching other realtors and potential clients when you list homes for sale in Myrtle Beach for a client?
A: The quickest way to reach other agents is through the Myrtle Beach MLS, which gives you access to 3,600 agents in the Myrtle Beach area. I also let the top agents know that a new Myrtle Beach property has hit the market with an email blast. I notify my personal database of buyers, send out just-listed postcards, and use the internet and all of its social media links.
Q: How did you create your client base in the North Myrtle Beach area?
A: Prospect! Prospect! Prospect!
Q: Everyone who is searching for a home wants their dream home for a dream price. What is the most challenging aspect of finding your clients their dream home among North Myrtle Beach homes for sale?
A: I balance the clients’ wants and needs within the market range that they want to be in to the best of my ability.
Q: What do you find most rewarding about your job as a North Myrtle Beach real estate agent for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living?
A: It is most rewarding for me to see a family excited and happy to find the perfect home for them based on their goals for the future if they are a buyer. If they are a seller, I really enjoy hearing or seeing the excitement when I tell them that their property has sold!! That is what makes a real estate agent happy.
