Meet Our New Realtor®-Donna Talbert

Hello Again!  We are back to introduce you to one of our newest agents, Donna Talbert.  Donna was born and raised in Albemarle, NC, which is approximately 175 miles west of Myrtle Beach, SC.  She attended Albemarle High School where she enjoyed playing softball and cheerleading.  After graduating from high school, she attended Stanly Community College majoring in Business Administration.

After college, Donna spent the majority of her career as a Physician Recruiter for a major healthcare organization, marketing the service area, and identifying and recruiting quality providers for the medical communities it served.  Additionally, she worked many years in the home industry in sales and customer service.

Donna married her high school sweetheart, who served as a Captain for the Albemarle Fire Department.  He is now retired from that job and working in North Myrtle Beach at Elliott Beach Rentals in home repair.  They had two beautiful children—a daughter named Summer and son named Corey.  Her daughter blessed them with two granddaughters, Mia and Elaina.

Donna’s husband had already moved to North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina after retirement and started his second career with Elliott Beach Rentals.  Donna continued to work in Albemarle, North Carolina and joined him in North Myrtle Beach as often as possible.  She just recently moved to North Myrtle Beach permanently, fulfilling a long-time dream of theirs to make North Myrtle Beach their home.

Donna enjoyed sitting by the seashore, searching for sharks’ teeth, spending time with her family, building sandcastles and hiking with her granddaughters.  She also enjoyed riding her bike and reading a good book, but Donna soon realized that although she enjoyed pursuing her hobbies, they were not satisfying enough for her.

So, she attended Real Estate School becoming a beach real estate agent for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living in North Myrtle Beach, which serves the Grand Strand (which include Pawley’s Island, Litchfield, Murrell’s Inlet, Garden City, Surfside, Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach).  Let’s see how Donna feels her new business as a Myrtle Beach Real Estate Agent is going.

Q: There are many real estate agencies located in North Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach, and along the Grand Strand, but you chose BHGRE.  Why?

A:  My husband works with Elliott Rentals and enjoys the familial spirit of the company.  Rick Elliott and the Elliott name has a solid reputation and continually demonstrates their commitment to the Myrtle Beach Community.  Plus, Better Homes and Gardens has been a household name for a long time and is often associated with excellence.

Q:  How will you market yourself to a potential client that causes them to choose you as their agent?

A:  I will emphasize to my potential clients that I have worked for many years in sales and customer service, as well as, as a Physician Recruiter, which has given me a great deal of experience in marketing and public relations.  Thirty years of working with the public has made me realize that the one thing my clients really appreciate is honest, dependable customer service, and I am good at that.

Q:  What assets do you have that will contribute to your success as a beach real estate agent?

A:  I am outgoing, friendly, personable, and enjoy working hard for my clients.  I am also excited to utilize my professional expertise and personalized experience to fully represent my clients in buying or selling their coastal home.  I am committed to promoting and protecting my clients best interest just as they would themselves.

Q:  Now that you are a North Myrtle Beach Real Estate Agent, what do you like best about the job?

A:  I have always been captivated by not only the grandeur, but the simplicity and tranquility of the ebb and flow of the Atlantic Ocean.  It is soothing to my soul.  As a child, during the summer, my family would spend as much time as possible in North Myrtle Beach condos and beach houses, enjoying the sandy shore and all the amenities the Grand Strand area has to offer.  We played in the sand and built sand castles, hoping one day to have a home here.  Rick and I both shared the same dream, spending many days at Myrtle Beach as kids, and then with our own family enjoying our stay in Myrtle Beach Real Estate.  It was inevitable that we would make this pristine shoreline our home.  We could not be happier living and working here.

Q:  As a real estate agent at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living in the Myrtle Beach area, you will not have set office hours, so you have to be self motivated.  What motivates you?

A:  I enjoy meeting new people and helping them to achieve their dreams.  That is my motivation—to help people find the home of their dreams and realize the memories that they will create for their family and for future generations.

Q:  When you list a house for a client in the Myrtle Beach area, what means of marketing will you use to reach other realtors and potential clients?

A:  I will utilize social media, the MLS, and all of the websites that are available to me as a beach real estate agent for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living.  I will also enjoy doing open houses and meeting potential clients and other beach real estate agents.

Q:  How will you create your client base as a Myrtle Beach Real Estate Agent?

A:  I will create my client base through sourcing, relists, referrals and working opportunity time at the North Myrtle Beach office to get leads.

Q:  What do you think will be the most rewarding aspect of your job as a real estate agent for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living in Myrtle Beach?

A:  The most rewarding aspect of my job as a beach real estate agent will be the excitement of utilizing my professional experience, expanding my expertise, and giving personal attention to turning my clients’ sand castle memories into their dream home. I truly appreciate the opportunity to work with them.

Donna is excited and ready to serve her clients with honesty and integrity as well as experience and knowledge.  If you would like Donna to help you buy or sell your Myrtle Beach Real Estate, please contact Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina at 843-280-5704.
