Hello again. Today, we would like to introduce you to one of our youngest North Myrtle Beach real estate agents, Alston Edge. He might be young, but he is very industrious, a successful entrepreneur and a dedicated beach real estate agent.
Along with his sister, Alston grew up in Loris, which is located approximately 30 miles from North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. His mother is an attendance clerk at Loris High School and his father is a Horry County code enforcer.
After Alston graduated from Loris High School, he decided to form his own business, Edge Landscaping and Construction, which is very successful and compliments his business as a Better Homes and Gardens real estate Elliott Coastal Living North Myrtle Beach real estate agent. He is engaged to a young woman from Loris, South Carolina.
We have delved into the lives and businesses of some of our more seasoned North Myrtle Beach real estate agents, so we decided to get some insight into how one of our newest views his growing beach real estate business. Let’s see what Alston has to say.
Q: How do your market yourself to potential North Myrle Beach real estate clients that causes them to use you as their agent?
A: Although I am a young Myrtle Beach real estate agent, I show clients that I am competent in the business and knowledgeable of the Grand Strand area. I am also energetic and enthusiastic about helping the clients buy or sell their Myrtle Beach property for sale.
Q: Do you prefer to sell Myrtle Beach oceanfront condos for sale, Beach homes for sale, houses for sale in Myrtle Beach or land for sale in Myrtle Beach?
A: I prefer to work with single-family homes and land because I like new construction and land development.
Q: What do you like best about being a North Myrtle Beach real estate agent?
A: I like the Myrtle Beach area because of the beach of course, but the Myrtle Beach area has a lot more to offer than just the beach. It is also a business-oriented area with lots of growth and development of Myrtle Beach property bringing the convenience of larger businesses and services that are normally only found in larger cities. This contributes to the tourism and relocation of buyers to the area. Yet, North Myrtle Beach still retains its small-town feel.
Q: What motivates you as a North Myrtle Beach real estate agent at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living since you do not have set office hours like many employees?
A: No work—no money! Actually, it has become a habit. My parents instilled a good work ethic in me and that has stayed with me. I also love the “thrill of the chase”—searching for that perfect Myrtle Beach area property for my client or trying to sell the Myrtle Beach homes for sale for the most possible money.
Q: When you list houses for sale in Myrtle Beach for a client, how do you market it to reach potential clients and other Myrtle Beach real estate agents?
A: It is very important to take lots of good pictures—the more the better and list it in the MLS. I also send out just-listed/just-sold mailers to spark interest. I make sure it has a good web presence on all the relative sites, and I do some Facebook marketing as well.
Q: As a relatively new Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living Myrtle Beach real estate agent, how are you creating your client base in the area?
A: I am working a lot within my sphere of influence to get listings. I also call “expireds” and “for sale by owners”. I send out mailings as well and I farm some.
Q: What do you find most rewarding about your job as a Myrtle Beach real estate agent for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living?
A: I really enjoy seeing the Myrtle Beach area grow and enjoy showing the Myrtle Beach real estate. It also gives me great pleasure to see the customers’ satisfaction.
