Have you ever wanted to try the cuisine at a restaurant that had a great reputation, but you felt that it might be a little pricey for your budget? If so, now is your opportunity to dine at some fabulous, upscale restaurants and sample some of their most popular menu items at a discounted price during restaurant week.
What is Restaurant Week Myrtle Beach 2018? As a part of South Carolina Restaurant Week 2018, the Myrtle Beach area will partner with their local chambers of commerce to promote a week of lunch and dinner specials. The restaurants will offer a prix fixe menu at reduced prices with the concept that they will gain in sales volume what they lose in check averages. It has been reported that some restaurants have an increase in sales volume up to 40%.
Restaurant Week was started in 1992 in New York City as a clever promotional strategy to help increase sales for restaurants during slow periods of time by the founder of Zagat restaurant guides. The first Restaurant Week was planned to coincide with the Democratic Convention and was so successful that Restaurant Week New York City has grown to encompass four weeks instead of one. It has spread around the country with cities and states creating their own versions.
Restaurant Week Myrtle Beach 2018 runs from January 11 – 21, as an eleven-day event. Some of the best local restaurants in the area are showcasing their specialty dishes on a prix fixe menu for amazing prices. A prix fixe menu is one set price for a meal with several courses, but you cannot change any of the items.
The restaurants participating in Restaurant Week Myrtle Beach 2018 will be offering their best food such as house favorites or chef specialties, so customers that do not eat there regularly will be in for a real treat. Although you cannot change any of the items, there are several selections of various menu items under each course for you to choose from, making it a great dining experience for you. Most of the menus will include a fish, chicken and beef entrée, so there will be something pleasing for everyone’s palate available.
Restaurant Week does not only benefit restaurants, it is also good for tourism, increasing business for stores, hotels and other local businesses. So, if you are not a resident in the Myrtle Beach area, make plans to rent a beautiful Myrtle Beach Oceanfront condo, house, or room and enjoy some of our finest restaurants located all along the Grand Strand and enjoy some of their delicious cuisine at an amazing price.
