Labor Day Weekend on the Grand Strand

Monday, September 3, 2018, (Labor Day) is the unofficial end of summer, so make Myrtle Beach Labor Day 2018 one to remember by participating in some of the festive events that are taking place on the Grand Strand.  It is a great time to soak up the sun with family and friends, catch a dazzling fireworks display, eat some great barbeque or enjoy the nightlife.  Below is listed some of the Myrtle Beach events 2018 that will be taking place this Labor Day Weekend:

August 30th:

Music on Main with the Tim Clark Band, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., located on the Horse Shoe, 1 WW South Ocean Boulevard, North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

August 31st and September 1st:

13th Annual Beach, Boogie & BBQ Festival located at the Market Common Grand Park, 1011 Crabtree Lane, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  Twenty-five teams will be competing for $9,000 in cash prices during this two-day event.  There will be local vendors, live entertainment, a beer and wine garden, a corn hole competition, activities for the children, a classic car show as well as plenty of BBQ.  There will also be a wing competition on Friday and the Kansas City BBQ competition on Saturday.  The event will be 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday and 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.

September 1st:

The Market Common Farmers Market located at 4017 Deville Street, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is expecting a big turn out to survey and procure tasty treats, farm fresh local produce and homemade crafts.  There is also plenty of activities and playgrounds for the children at Myrtle Beach’s Market Common.

September 1st and 2nd—Labor Day Fireworks

Plyler Park, Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 10:00, 1309 North Ocean Boulevard, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Broadway at the Beach, Sunday, September 2, 2018 at 10:00 p.m., 325 Celebrity Circle, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

September 3rd:

SummerFest at Barefoot Landing, 4898 Highway 17 South, North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina—Backfire Acoustic will be performing at the summer finale of SummerFest from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  There will also be face painting and other activities for the whole family.

September 3rd – 9th:

17th Annual Myrtle Beach Mustang Week –Join hundreds of Mustang owners and enthusiasts and take part of one of the largest festivals of its kind. It includes a variety of events taking place all over the area including at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, Myrtle Beach Speedway, the Myrtle Beach Mall, and Ocean Boulevard. Join in for food, car shows, cruise-ins, meet and greets, judging, awards, and more!

The above events are scheduled for specific dates and times, but there are many more activities that you and your family can enjoy at your leisure.  For example, below is a list of activities that you can make fit into your schedule when you are ready to have an outing:

Cherry Grove Fishing Pier located at 3500 N Ocean Blvd, North Myrtle Beach. Labor Day weekend is one of the best times to fish in North Myrtle Beach, because the approaching fall weather sends the fish running.  It is a favorite spot to cast from for the locals, and the Tackle and Gift Shop has everything you need to enjoy a day of fishing off of this iconic pier, famous for several record-setting catches, including a 1,789-pound Tiger shark.  Rent a rod, buy some bait and try your luck.
