KINGS FAMOUS PIZZA—SERVING DELICIOUS PIZZAS FOR 39 YEARS!

Kings is “famous” for its pizza among locals and tourists who return year after year to indulge in Kings delicious cuisine.  Kings Famous Pizza is located at 3511 Highway 17 South in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  You cannot miss the iconic red and yellow awning of Kings Famous Pizza as you are driving through the Windy Hill section close to beautiful North Myrtle Beach real estate.  Erica really likes King’s Famous Pizza as stated below:

“Moved to Little River almost 2 years ago, and just got the chance to go to Kings Famous Pizza. The server was on point!! Cari I think was her name?? Food was killer good, and um, I think I just found the only pizza joint that I’ll ever eat at for the rest of my life!! LOL”

Customers say that Kings Famous Pizza serves the best pizza on the beach, but that is not the only dish that is available to delight your taste buds.  The menu is a delicious blend of both Italian and Greek dishes.

They do serve a variety of pizzas that includes their very own Zorba’s Greek Favorite Pizza with feta cheese, black olives, tomatoes, olive oil, oregano, garlic and spinach as well as strombolis and calzones.  See Mandy’s review below:

”I’ve been eating at Kings Pizza for years, fortunately I have a vacation home only a couple of blocks from Kings, so when I’m down it’s a must I go 3 separate times to get my favorites, pizza and salad, spaghetti and salad, and the super club with fries. The house dressing is amazing and a must try if you haven’t already. I’ve always had excellent service there, Carrie is our favorite waitress, she is so friendly and right on top of things! Go visit, you won’t be disappointed!!”

In addition to pizza, Kings serves a variety of spaghetti dishes.  You can get it with meat sauce, meatballs, Italian sausage, mushrooms, chicken breast or egg plant.  They serve fettucine alfredo, manicotti, lasagna,  and chicken, veal and egg plant parmesans as well.  They also serve two delicious Greek specials—Moussaka, which is a blend of potatoes, ground beef and eggplant covered with a rick Greek topping and Pastitsio made of macaroni, ground beef, topped with a Special Bechamel Sauce.

According to Garrett’s review below, the moussaka is wonderful:

“ This place was great. Kind of a Greek feel. All our food was good.  I experienced moussaka for the first time tonight and it is one of my new favorite dishes.”

To round out their menu, Kings Famous Pizza serves a variety of sub sandwiches that include vegetarian, chicken breast parmesan, hot pastrami, pepper steak and their super sub made of turkey, roast beef, ham, bacon, provolone cheese, mayo, onions, green peppers, tomatoes, lettuce & house dressing.  Kings also serves a Greek and a chicken gyro as well as a range of salads which includes antipasto, Greek, Italian, grilled chicken breast and chef for the light diners.  Kings Famous Pizza has a dish to fit the size of anyone’s appetite, and if you have a sweet tooth, be sure to try their delicious desserts, especially their snicker’s pie.

Marci says, “Our favorite pizza/subs/Greek salads! Love their salad dressing.”

If you are a visitor renting one of our beautiful oceanfront condos or North Myrtle Beach houses in the Windy Hill section that make up part of North Myrtle Beach real estate, it is just a short walk to King’s Famous Pizza for lunch after sunbathing on our beautiful beaches.  Of course, it is a just a short trip from downtown Myrtle Beach real estate if you are looking for a place with delicious food and a nostalgic feel with its red bench seats and family atmosphere.  They do serve beer and wine if the adults would like to imbibe after a long day enjoying all the amenities in Myrtle Beach.  As Joette expresses below, you can’t come to Myrtle Beach without going to Kings.

”We love Kings. Been coming for years. It’s our tradition now. Can’t visit Myrtle Beach without eating at Kings”

Kings Famous Pizza is a family-owned and operated business and the owners take special care to ensure the food is fresh by making their own pizza dough and other entrées. They also make a delicious house dressing.

Dino Geladakis and his wife Urania own Kings Famous Pizza.  John, one of their son’s, manages the business, and the other son, Spiro, owns the business next door, Southern Sunrise Pancake House, which has been open for six years.

Both Dino and Urania are originally from Greece.  They met, fell in love and were married while in Greece, but Urania came to the United States before Dino with her parents, while Dino served in the Greek Military.  In 1972, Dino arrived in Boston, Massachusetts at age 20.  He and his wife lived in Worcester, Massachusetts and worked at Holy Cross College until they saved enough money to buy a restaurant in North Myrtle Beach.

The Geladakis family moved from the cold, snowy climate of Massachusetts to our beautiful, mild climate in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and bought Kings Family Pizza from a friend.  They now live in Myrtle Beach real estate and have built Kings Famous Pizza into a thriving restaurant that is popular among both locals and tourists who consider it a favorite in their dining experiences.

The owners make you feel at home, the service is great and so is the food as Frank states below:

“Great owners, great staff and great food!!! They always make you feel at home!”
