The Grand Strand is magical all year with its 60 miles of beautiful shore, marshlands, and wildlife. It is especially magical during the Fourth of July and a great place to celebrate America’s independence. Myrtle Beach lights up with excitement during this time with events that the whole family can enjoy! Check out one of the events below and celebrate America with us! Elliott Realty wishes everyone a happy and safe Fourth of July!
Salute from the Shore
Salute from the Shore was started as a way to celebrate the military during the Fourth of July. On Monday, July 4th at 1 pm, head to the shore to watch a parade of military aircraft fly overhead to honor the USA’s armed forces. The participating aircraft will include F-16s from the Shaw Airforce Base, Military C-17s, and privately-owned vintage military planes. The planes depart from Cherry Grove and make their way to Hilton Head, SC. You are encouraged to wear your best red, white, and blue attire and bring a flag or poster to show your support for our military. Visit https://salutefromtheshore.org/share-your-salute/ and share why you love America, honor your loved ones in the military, or share a favorite Fourth of July tradition. See you on the shore!
13th Annual Independence Day 5K
The Independence Day 5K, now in its 13th year, is one of the largest races in the Myrtle Beach area. The race course starts at the Grand Park Lake, goes through Market Commons, and features highlights of the former Myrtle Beach Airforce Base. There are three different ways to participate: the 5K, Uncle Sam’s 1 Mile Fun Run, and the Stars & Stripes Kids’ Dash. Bring the whole family!
